About
SpeakEasy N.O.W. is a user-led organisation. We support people, who have a learning disability, to speak up about the things that matter to them.
We work with organisations including Worcestershire County Council and the NHS across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, to make sure they involve people, with a learning disability, in delivering and improving local services.
We run SpeakUp groups across Worcestershire and visit local organisations and colleges to run group sessions.
We work with NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire to help deliver Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training in Learning Disability and Autism and coordinate Experts by Experience.
Our Easy Read Service is available to ensure that people with a learning disability have access to written material in an easier to understand format. We also offer Learning Disability Awareness Training.

As a member led organisation, people with a learning disability are at the heart of everything we do.
We have a Management Committee, who are all people with a learning disability. They plan and lead the work of SpeakEasy N.O.W. They elect a Management Committee Chair, to chair meetings and work with the Trustees and the Chief Officer.
The Board of Trustees are responsible for the finances of SpeakEasy N.O.W. and making sure we work within the law and our funding contracts. We have Trustees with a learning disability and Trustees who do not have a learning disability.
The Management Committee and Trustees are elected by members at our Annual General Meeting. This is usually in June.
